Ride With A Mission in Mind
By joining #RideTeamGeorgian September 25th and 26th, you will be supporting youth in our community through a new program established on a shared love of motorcycles, belonging and belief that youth when supported can achieve a brighter future for themselves and our community.
The #RideTeamGeorgian Loop is a 600km motorcycle route, designed by our instructors in the Georgian College Motorcycle Training Program.
The loop is unique in that it connects all seven of our Georgian campuses in a heart-shaped loop AND each year our Georgian Motorcycle Instructors invite fellow motorcycle enthusiasts just like you, to complete this loop for a great cause!

The #RideTeam Georgian Event is an epic adventure that can be completed over 2 days in September and supports projects and research that are tackling some of our toughest community issues like homelessness, food security and poverty.
The Ride Team Georgian event invites riders and their passengers to visit each of Georgian’s 7 campus locations and collect campus badges in tandem with sampling the best local ice cream locations across our region.

Ride for a Cause
Shift Disturbers is a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to transforming the lives of youth and young adults, aged 16-26, involved with the justice system. Starting with a non-running motorcycle, participants breathe new life into it, gaining technical expertise, soft skills, confidence, and a profound sense of achievement. With only 10 participants per session, each individual receives personalized attention in a nurturing and supportive environment.
About Shift Disturbers
This year the #RideTeamGeorgian 2025 event September 25th – 26th is not just an invitation to complete one of our region’s most scenic motorcycle journeys along some of Ontario’s most iconic roads, but it will also build awareness to the barriers faced by youth across our region experiencing homelessness, criminalization and poverty, and helping them to ‘change-course’ through access to post-secondary education.
The Ride Team Georgian event will be raising funds to support a program between Georgian’s Department of Social Innovation and Elizabeth Fry Society of Simcoe Muskoka.
This is part of the ‘Changing Course Project’ that is looking at how a Restorative Justice framework can be integrated with an introduction to small-engine repair for youth.
The goal of the program is to learn how to work together alongside youth facing criminalization to enable self-confidence, and skill building through the refurbishing of a motorcycle donated by Barrie Harley-Davidson.
The intent is to continue a long-term collaboration with Elizabeth Fry Society Simcoe Muskoka and continue to support selected these youth in shifting their life course towards post-secondary education or meaningful employment and reducing recidivism.
